Our Story
Promoting Indian Music, Art & Culture
Sur Sangam Kala Academy is a traditional, non-political and not-for-profit, government-registered academy committed to preserving and promoting the diverse and ancient culture and heritage of India. Since 2003, it has nurtured classical music, dance, fine arts, yoga, wellness, fitness, studio recording, jamming, podcasting and cultural activities, guided by a modern and contemporary outlook with social sensitivity.
Students are prepared by experienced performers and gurus for stage shows, government scholarships and college admissions in music and fine arts. The academy provides a dedicated music and fine arts library, quality instruments and air-conditioned practice rooms, along with online and offline learning options.
The academy also conducts monthly home concerts, an annual programme, musical workshops, excursion tours and competitions. For exams, scholarships and higher learning, students are guided through affiliations with Pracheen Kala Kendra (Chandigarh), Prayag Sangeet Samiti (Allahabad), Khairagarh University (Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya) and the University of Delhi.
Meet the Founder
Ranjib Biswas
Ranjib Biswas is a reputed percussionist of the Farrukhabad Gharana. He is a disciple of the renowned tabla player, Pt. Shankar Ghosh. He has devoted over 35 years to the study, practice and performance of Indian classical music. He is a faculty member of the Department of Music, University of Delhi, and has built a rich career as a tabla artist through dedicated practice, performance and teaching.
A regular artist of All India Radio, Delhi, he has performed extensively as a tabla soloist across India and abroad. He has also accompanied several reputed artists and performers and has been part of various musical productions and drum orchestras, including Rhythms of Indian Drums, Drum Dream and Rhythms of India. His performances reflect the depth, discipline and musical richness of the Farrukhabad tradition.
As the Founder and Secretary of Sur Sangam Kala Academy, he is deeply committed to nurturing young musicians. He takes a personal interest in his students and guides them with care, discipline and dedication. Many of his students have gone on to perform as tabla soloists and accompanying artists, presenting their talent across India. Through his teaching, he continues to preserve and pass on the values of the Guru–Shishya Parampara.

Ritesh Pathak
VocalA trained Hindustani Classical Vocalist with an M.A. from Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, and a strong foundation in the Indore Gharana. With 15+ years of teaching experience, he trains students in classical, light, contemporary and Bollywood music, building confidence and stage-ready vocal skills.
Sheulee Ghosh
Kathak & Contemporary DanceAn eminent Kathak teacher and performer, she holds Sangeet Bibhakar in Kathak Nritya, and Sangeet Bibhakar and Ratnakar in Rabindra Nritya from Bangiya Sangeet Parishad, Kolkata. She trains students in Kathak and contemporary dance, building technique, expression and stage-ready performance skills.

GuitarA professional Guitar & Music Performance instructor with 4 years of teaching and 2 years of live performance experience. He teaches chords, rhythm, lead guitar, technique and music theory, helping students build confidence, creativity and stage-ready performance skills.
